Blenheim Orange Apple

The Blenheim Orange apple is a classic English variety, originating in the 18th century near Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Renowned for its large, slightly flattened fruit with a greenish-yellow to orange skin, often flushed with red, this dual-purpose apple is excellent for both cooking and fresh eating. Its creamy white flesh offers a sweet, nutty flavour that intensifies with storage. The tree is vigorous and can reach significant size, making it suitable for larger gardens or orchards. Blenheim Orange requires two compatible pollination partners from Groups 3, 4, or 5 and has good resistance to common apple diseases, including scab and mildew.
