The medium-sized fruits have a golden-yellow skin flushed with red and are typically ready for harvest from late September to early October. Christmas Pippin exhibits good disease resistance and is suitable for various growing conditions. As a self-sterile variety in Pollination Group 3, it requires a compatible pollination partner from Groups 2, 3, or 4 to produce fruit.
