In terms of difficulty, it's considered moderately demanding. It's best placed in the midground to background of the aquarium. Ideal water conditions include a pH range of 6-7.5 and a temperature between 22-28°C (72-82°F). To maintain its striking red hue, supplementation of iron may be necessary.

To use these within a tank please wash in water with baking soda under light.
