Cryptocoryne Affinis Red, scientifically known as Cryptocoryne affinis "Red," is a cultivated variety known for its vibrant red coloration. It typically reaches a height of 15-25 cm (6-10 inches). This plant thrives under moderate to high lighting conditions and benefits from the presence of CO2, though it can adapt to lower levels.

In terms of difficulty, it's considered moderately demanding. It's best placed in the midground to background of the aquarium. Ideal water conditions include a pH range of 6-7.5 and a temperature between 22-28°C (72-82°F). To maintain its striking red hue, supplementation of iron may be necessary.

Plants are incubated in a solution of 0.01% of the insecticide Buprafezin for one hour (Please do not just drop these in a shrimp tank or with any other crustacean. To use these within a tank please wash in water with baking soda under light.
