Iris Pseudata Kimboshi - Marginal Pond Plants - Pond Plants - Water Plants - MP050A
What you will receive:
Iris Kimboshi
Iris 'Kimboshi', translating to "golden hat" in Japanese, is a striking eye-shadow hybrid born in 1971 from the crossbreeding of Iris pseudacorus and Iris ensata by Mr. Ueki of Japan. This hybrid, devoid of fertility and resilient against deer, showcases remarkable vigor, swiftly establishing a sturdy clump. In spring, it graces gardens with its sizable pale yellow blooms, each adorned with a dark yellow eye-zone and dark streaks extending into the three petals, a sight that delights hummingbirds. Thriving in moist soils, Iris 'Kimboshi' also thrives as a marginal aquatic plant. Credit is due to the late garden writer, M.M. Graff, who graciously shared her cherished iris with us shortly before her passing at the age of 97.
