Java Fern Coral (Microsorum pteropus 'Coral') is a cultivated variety of the popular Java Fern. It reaches a height of about 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) and is known for its distinctively ruffled leaves, which resemble coral.

This plant is considered easy to care for, making it suitable for beginners. It thrives in low to moderate light conditions and doesn't necessarily require CO2 supplementation, although it can benefit from it.

Java Fern Coral is typically placed in the midground to background of the aquarium. It adapts well to various tank conditions, with a pH range of 6-7.5 and a temperature between 20-28°C (68-82°F). It can be attached to hardscape or left floating in the water.

Plants are incubated in a solution of 0.01% of the insecticide Buprafezin for one hour (Please do not just drop these in a shrimp tank or with any other crustacean. To use these within a tank please wash in water with baking soda under light. These are treated to remove the insecticide but there are cases where this has not been fully removed causing casualty's in crustacean. (Any issues please contact us we will sort ASAP)
