Microsorum pteropus "Sunrise," also known as Java Fern "Sunrise," is a unique cultivar of the popular aquarium plant, Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus). Here are its key characteristics:

1. Leaves : Java Fern "Sunrise" has vibrant golden-yellow to light green leaves with a slightly translucent quality. The leaves are similar in shape to regular Java Fern, with long, narrow fronds.
2. Size : It typically grows to a height of 15-25 centimeters (6-10 inches) and a width of 10-15 centimeters (4-6 inches).
3. Growth Pattern : It grows relatively slowly and attaches itself to aquarium décor, rocks, or driftwood using rhizomes.
4. Lighting and Substrate : It can thrive in low to moderate lighting conditions, making it suitable for a wide range of aquarium setups. It doesn't require a nutrient-rich substrate and can derive nutrients from the water column.
5. Tank Conditions : Java Fern "Sunrise" can adapt to a variety of water conditions. It prefers a pH range of 6-7.5 and a temperature range of 20-30°C (68-86°F).
6. Placement : This plant can be used as a midground or background plant, depending on its size and placement in the aquarium.

Plants are incubated in a solution of 0.01% of the insecticide Buprafezin for one hour (Please do not just drop these in a shrimp tank or with any other crustacean. To use these within a tank please wash in water with baking soda under light.
